What you pay on day one for online TRT

The first charge at checkout for US telehealth testosterone programs, which can be far higher than the advertised monthly price.

The advertised monthly price is often not what you pay at checkout. Some programs charge several months at once, some take a full year up front, and some add a lab fee before the first prescription. This is what the first charge looks like at each provider, from their own pages.

A year or more up front

  • Rugiet Health: $1,188 at checkout for a 12-month enclomiphene plan ($99 a month).
  • Joi + Blokes: $1,188 up front for the 12-month TRT plan; the shortest plan is 3 months at $447.
  • Hims: $990 for a 10-month enclomiphene plan, paid in full up front.
  • PeterMD: $948 for 12 months prepaid; on its monthly plan, checkout charges the first two months together, $278.

A few months up front

  • TRT Nation: $250 for the first 2.5-month supply, plus $129 for bloodwork unless you upload your own.
  • PrescribedRX: plans run 3 months at $129 a month, plus a $69 first hormone panel.

One month at a time

  • Maximus: $49.99 for the first month as a new customer, plus $99.99 for the at-home test.
  • MangoRx: $99 for the first month, labs included.
  • Henry Meds: $129 for the first month, labs included.
  • Feel30: $149 a month plus a $99 first lab panel.
  • Hone Health: $163 a month plus $65 and $25 for the first tests.

Before paying up front

A prepaid plan is cheaper per month, but check what happens if you stop early. Maximus says its 3- and 6-month plans can't be ended early or partly refunded, and Joi + Blokes doesn't refund payments already made. Each provider's terms are on its cancel page, and the upfront billing page lists who charges in advance.
